On January 27, 2008, Jim was released as bishop of the BYU 59th Ward after 3 years, 4 months, and one day from the time he was set apart. It's been a wonderful experience with some incredible young married couples.
We are settling back into our home ward and new callings; Jim will now be serving as the Young Men's President and I will be an Achievment Day Leader (I think I have the easier calling). Jim thinks it will have been easier to be a bishop than a Young Men's President. He wanted to do more camping and fishing this summer, but that may look a little different. Instead of a comfortable bed in the house trailer, it will be a sleeping bag on hard, cold ground. This will give Jim more opportunity to use his bear trap, and it may not be just for a pornography lesson!
Other news, our son Rob and his wife Jen are expecting their third child (due in June), another darling boy which will make three boys! That will surely keep them busy.
Our daughter Julie and her husband Dave announced the coming of their second baby due sometime in October (hopefully on my birthday-Oct 17th)! That will make six grandchildren by the end of the year; Christmas just keeps getting better and better!
